Tuscany has long been a refuge for artists and Borgo Pignano continues this tradition.
Hundreds of art objects are on display in the public rooms and living accommodations.
Some are by well-known British artists – Euan Uglow, Celia Paul, Ishbel Myerscough, Catherine Goodman – and many have been made by visiting artists, some under the auspices of the Royal School of Drawing, which was founded by King Charles III.
Borgo Pignano’s offers year-round art residencies to young students of the Royal Drawing School and each summer hosts a group of students for a week of painting and drawing.
